TEHRAN - Pakistani Minister of Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmed submitted the written message of Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf to Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadinejad here on Wednesday.

In the meeting, Ahmadinejad said that expanding ties with Pakistan is Iran’s set policy and expressed hope that Tehran-Islamabad memoranda of understanding in various fields, including rail transportation, would soon be implemented.

The Islamic Republic of Iran welcomes any and all cooperation with Pakistan, he added.

Pointing out that there is great potential for expanding ties with Islamabad, the Iranian president said that Tehran is prepared to share its experiences with Pakistan.

The Pakistani minister of railways stated that Iran’s international policy warms the hearts of the Islamic ummah, adding that Pakistan desires to avail itself of Iran’s experiences in various areas including rail transportation.
